Something Holy

If I asked you if you wanted to be a part of something holy, something that God is doing in the lives of others...I would venture to guess that you would shoot your hand up in the sky so fast some would think that you had just won the Reader's Digest Sweepstakes. As a Christian, I definitely crave God's involvement in the lives of others. I want to make it as big as an impact as I can. I feel like that is why God has allowed me to be here.

Lately, sometimes I feel like I am not doing anything for the cause for Christ. Ever feel like that??? This week though, God has reminded that yes, I do have a part in something holy by being consistent and faithful in what He has called me to do. The obvious activities by God is not always obvious to me, and we tend to focus on the visual obvious results, that is NOT what I should focus on. He is at work where we can't always see. And therefore, because I can't always see how God is working in the lives of others, that doesn't mean God doesn't.

I learned this truth through a conversation that I had with a friend that I hadn't talked to in years. She said, "I admire your faithfulness." That struck me as a direct message to keep on truckin', moving forward to towards the goal, to make a difference in the lives of those I know and those I don't. The lesson here is obedience to do what I know to do, continue on the path that God has set before me, trusting Him all the way.

I want to be a part of something Holy! Something bigger than me, a God-sized vision to impact the world, my world for Christ. When is a time that God has used you to impact others? Are you doing something holy?
