Outdated.

The other day we had chili for dinner. I was looking forward to it. Terry made some cornbread to go with it. A natural combination of foods. I thought it tasted stale. So stale that it ruined my bowl of chili. I couldn't eat it any more. I thought it was my imagination. It wasn't. This morning, I pulled two more boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix out of the cabinets. Expiration date was 08/06/07!! It was over a year old and it was still in my cabinets. Oh my goodness! So this is kind of like a public service announcement...check the expiration date on your box of cornbread BEFORE consuming....It could save your entire bowl of chili!
