Heart of Worship

Sunday was a great day as we gathered to have church. With all of us Americanos, it was moved to an open air pavilon. We got to sing an American worship song for them. Worship happens when people come together and lift the name of Christ. God presence was obvious it was awesome.

It was the heart of worship. That's the great thing about God's love and grace, it knows no bounds has no borders. It was a small glimpse of heaven with all God's people at that moment praising then worshiping, praising His name, letting down their guards, breaking down the barriers and then letting go. Now, that's church!!

There were special moments like the young teens that spoke their favorite scripture and quoted the verse from memory. But the breaking moments for me (and for Andy) was when a young boy who said his favorite passage was Psalm 121:1 "I lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help", and then he sang a song with tears streaming down his face the entire song. What love, what faith, what a testimony. You didn't need to know what the words were, you could understand what he was saying. The universal language is love.
