Music Wednesday [This is Home]

Zinty, worship leader at Healing Place Church, Swaziland, Africa.
#joinedatthehip

This is an older song of Switchfoot.  But now I have seen it in a new light.  It was like I was hearing and singing the song for the first time.   There was a debut worship night that the team got to be a part of.  It was actually the last song of worship at Healing Place Church, Swaziland, Africa.  The end song, has left an imprint on my music-lovers soul, one that I will not soon forget.

I've got my memories
Always inside of me
But I can't go back
Back to how it was

I believe you now
I've come too far
No I can't go back
Back to how it was

Chorus:
Created for a place I've never known
This is home
Now I'm finally where I belong
Where I belong
Yeah, this is home
I've been searching for a place of my own
Now I've found it maybe this is home
Yeah, this is home

Belief over misery
I've seen the enemy
And I won't go back
Back to how it was

I got my heart set on what happens next
I got my eyes wide
It's not over yet
We're miracles
And we're not alone

Chorus:

And now after all my searching
After all my crashes
I'm really coming home
I got a brand new mindset
I can finally see the sunset
I'm gonna call it home

Chorus:

Now I know
Yeah, this is home

I've come too far
And I won't go back
Yeah, this is home

Why does this song mean so much?  In worship, in any language, you find God.  You enter His heart, you become centered.  You are close to His spirit, you are home.  That is one of the main reasons we were created...to worship Him.  I experienced His love, mercy and grace for a long time while worshiping with the fine people at HPC, Swaziland, Africa.  It wasn't the building, it really wasn't the people.  It was God's presence in an unspeakable way.  His spirit moved in my heart, and in the hearts of many.  Ask any of the team members.

After visiting with Zinty, one the HPC worship leaders, she shared there was a lot of prayer that went into the initial launch of this worship experience.  Prayer is key to experiencing God.  Mostly to get your heart and soul on the same page as His.  Music is the vechicle that can take you there quickly.  Where there is worship you will find Him when you worship with a clean heart.  It's home.  It's where we belong...I've come to far to go back.

YES, we do need a clean heart to worship, to be on the same page and may we NEVER, EVER go back!!!!
