It will be cold, it will be gross, and I am afraid of what might nibble my toes. It's not likely I will get a disease though. I can go one day with out shoes. Many go a lot longer. 24 hours will be nothing compared to what some children deal with on a daily basis.
I want to experience it. I want God to teach me something. I want my feet to hurt, I want my feet to be cold. I don't want to be blinded by the luxury of shoes. I don't want to be blinded by privilege. Going without shoes will be a challenge, it will be different. Some might think it is radical.
I usually wear something like this.What are you willing to give up for 24 hours?
