Hope Rescues

Many of our tour stops in India, involve seeing God work with ministries supported by GFA.  The Boys Home is one such place that rescues young boys who have been abandoned by their families or left to live on the street.

We met a little boy who needed rescuing, he was nine, when his mother died and his father left him to fend for himself.  He needed a place to stay not only for himself but for his five siblings.  He was out of options so they jumped on a train to nowhere.

Their final stop was Hope.  They were found by a dear heart named Mary who took them in, took care of them at the home for boys.  This home specializes in God - sized options and serving Hope.

He not only survived the tramatic abandonment but has thrived in the hope given to him and his siblings.  He was introduced to Jesus and given a place to live.  This little family now receives educational help, spiritual support and emotional healing.  He has met hope face to face in Mary's kind  heart and the loving staff of the Boys Home. This story is repeated many times over as Hope is busting out of the cracks and beams.

The great restoration that is happening though is not just spiritual, which is first and foremost, but when the staff can restore families together again.  For many it's the needed lifeline to get their family's act together, and nestled in the middle of healing relationships, they are offereed faith in God as the Hope that directs the ultimate restoration.

Why should you care about this?  Because our Father is still in the restoration business and we serve an incredible relational God who cares deeply about families no matter where they live.  God rescues and transforms our lives and builds strong families when His Hope is the lifeline given.

Colossians 1:13-14  "For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

With the work of  loving staff at the Boys Home supported by GFA, they are restoring and rescuing the life of young men, their communities, and their city.  One hope filled family at a time.
