God listened. Joshua prayed the impossible, the miraculous, and God delivered. It is possible in the life of those who follow Jesus today to pray a big prayer like this. His message was encouraging in how to pray more bold in our faith, to place the impossible needs at the feet of Jesus and ask in confidence, and know our prayer is heard and that God will act on our behalf.
For some of us, we need to take look at how we approach prayer, and our basics of faith, and what our hearts reveal about what we truly believe about God, and His ability to exhibit power in our life. Pastor Steven had this remark to challenge us... God isn't insulted by our big requests, he is insulted by our small ones. What we ask God for in prayer reveals what we believe about God, his power, his capability, his character and his nature. Pray audacious prayers. It takes great faith to pray for the impossible, to believe the impossible can be done. But God is able and he wants to do the impossible for us.
"More is done by God in a moment with favor than we can do in a lifetime of trying to do it your own way." It's impossible to think about the sun staying in one place. It doesn't happen. But it did happen once in the the Bible, for one brave man. When reading this story, it is noted that battle was already won before they went. Joshua prayed a prayer, but he had to show up for the battle. God had already promised to deliver Joshua and his army. But Joshua had to be ready to march all night. God always involves your faith and works in His impossibles.
"If the size of your need in your life seems to big for you, it is the right size for God". Awesome message of faith, of prayer. I have had my own Sun Still prayer answered. Read what God did.
